With over 25 years of playing experience and 15 years dedicated to coaching, Matt Dawson offers practical knowledge and specialized training to help you grow as a wicket keeper.
The TCA Wicket Keeping Academy, led by our Director of Cricket, Matt Dawson, provides specialised, high-level coaching exclusively for aspiring wicket keepers. Addressing gaps in traditional pathway setups and academies, this programme is designed to deliver the focused training and expertise required for this critical role. Matt brings extensive knowledge and a proven track record in wicket-keeping. As an ECB Level 3 Performance Coach, he has coached representative, professional, and international players from arounf the world.
With over 25 years of playing experience in high level league cricket in the UK, Matt represented Yorkshire CCC at various levels, became a capped Cheshire CCC player with over 100 wicket-keeping dismissals, and further honed his skills playing and coaching in Australia. His expertise ensures each session offers valuable insights, personalised feedback, and effective training methods.
